Stoudemire's Punched Fire Extinguisher Has Twitter AccountProving that there is a Twitter account for everything.  Someone has created a Twitter account for the fire extinguisher that Amar'e Stoudemire punched after game 2 of the Heat-Knicks series.  Some of the tweets are pretty funny.  I am a little sad that it has more followers than @InfiniteHoops.  :)

"This too shall pass. Unlike Melo. RT @Amareisreal We all have done thing out of anger that we regret. Sorry guys. This to shall pass."

If you haven't seen it yet, here is Metta World Peace (Ron Artest)'s elbow to James Harden in today's Lakers-Thunder game.  World Peace would receive a flagrant two foul and be ejected from the game.  Harden suffered a concussion and would not return in the second half.

Derrick Rose in GQGQ has an interesting article on Derrick Rose that's worth checking out.  I find it refreshing to read about an NBA superstar who is uncomfortable in the limelight.

"But it seems like the better I play, the more attention I get.  And I can't get away from it.  You play great, you get attention.  But I hate attention."

Tony Parker Sleeper Candidate for MVP | NBA.comA friend and I were just talking the other night about how Tony Parker was a complete sleeper candidate for MVP.  I admit when I think of this year's power teams OKC, Miami, Chicago ... possibly my beloved Lakers, the Spurs don't even enter my mind.  But even with a aging Tim Duncan and a banged up Ginobili, the Spurs are sitting atop the Western conference, and it's Parker that running the show.

"When he scores, I tell him he needs to pass.  And when he assists, I tell him he needs to score."

-- Spurs' head coach Gregg Popovich on Tony Parker

We know the NBA likes giving the award to point guards (see Steve Nash in 2005 and 2006).  Ironically in 2005, it was Tony Parker and the Spurs that would knock Nash's Suns out of the playoffs and go on to win the title.  So what do you think?  Tony Parker for MVP?

This is just kind of weird.  Here is the technical foul where Delonte West gives Gordon Hayward a wet willie.  I believe it is the Jazz announcer Craig Bolerjack who calls it the "low of lows in sportsmanship".  Matt Harpring thinks West should have been thrown out of the game.

Paul Silas, Tyrus Thomas have altercation in Bobcats' locker room - Yahoo! SportsCrazy.  The Charlotte Bobcats' head coach Paul Silas and Bobcats' forward Tyrus Thomas got into a screaming match in the locker room following the Bobcats loss to the Celtics.  Silas ended up pushing Thomas into a locker.

"Silas, 68, had been incensed with Thomas chatting with some Boston Celtics players on the court, and lashed out at him in the losing locker room afterward. Eventually, Thomas snapped back at Silas, and the coach warned him to say no more or risk a suspension.
Once Thomas stood up, Silas pushed him toward his locker stall, sources said."

-- Adrian Wojnarowski

The Bobcats are 7-53 on the season.
